Why Mining
Consider, for a moment, the material items that you interact with on a daily basis. The car in your driveway. Your computer. Your cell phone. All of these items are made with materials that are mined. Gold, along with other metals are relied upon for industry and medicine, essential to maintaining our everyday lifestyle.
But this is not a one-sided story touting all the wonderful things mining has evidenced. There is a serious side. A side that has had harmful effects on the environment in the past. So the question is, can we today mine Americas valuable resources without harming our environment? The answer is a careful, but confident, yes. Because it requires a love for the environment, common sense and experience, the best technology, and a strict adherence to national mining policies.
USAR is committed to all of the above. And this commitment is above all else. Everything we do goes beyond strict national policies for the environment.
This is why we mine in the United States. We have rich, fertile mining areas right at home. Right now, 90% of all mining is done outside of the United States. And so are 90% of the jobs in mining. We can mine safely here in the United States. And we can employ Americas greatest resource, our people, to do the job.
That is why USAR operates in Northern Arizona. To employ, to succeed, and to provide the resources we use on a day-to-day basis.
